2014 Harris-Kratka Alexander Valley Zinfandel

Now available. This fruity and complex Zinfandel is a great addition to our lineup. The HK vineyard sits at the south end of the famous Alexander Valley appellation. The 1960's and 1970's established Alexander Valley as a place where world class Cabernet Sauvignon could be grown. Today, the valley is also known for Zinfandel, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. There's some newer plantings of Grenache and Sangiovese too.

HK vineyard has been a vineyard designate for Rosenblum Cellars since 1993. From 1995 to today the Rosenblum Zinfandel has garnered 90+ points a combined 12 times from Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate (Parker). This same blend of about 85% Zinfandel, 10% Carignane and 5% Petite Sirah is in our 2014  bottling. The wine was aged 18 months in French and American oak. We made about 300 cases.
