The Giovanatto family has been in the northern Alexander Valley town of Cloverdale for over 80 years. Pierre Giovanatto's father ran a gravel mining company and farmed this beautiful old vine zin vineyard. The vineyard was planted in 1974 on St. George rootstock with the Heritage clone. Old vine zin pruned cordone style.

93 Points-Crimson in color. 14.7% ABV. Pretty nose of red fruits, citrus and baking spices. Medium body with perfect acidity. Incredibly elegant and charming. Strawberry, cranberry, blood orange and earth on the palate.
Tremendous length on the finish. Really appealing Zinfandel for those of us who prefer finesse over power. Best over the next 2-3 years. Zinfandel Chronicles
